	The landfill liner systems for the Southeast Landfill at Seneca Meadows are constructed in approximate 20 acre sections. When complete, this 80 acre landfill liner will provide state-of-the-art protection for the groundwater underlying the site.

	A double composite liner system, comprised of 2 HDPE liners, 2 soil liners and leachate collection piping is built by SMI’s in house construction group.

	Daily covering of waste is part of the landfill management program with a fleet of heavy equipment that helps shape the size and form of the facility.

Nearly 200 acres of the vast 700-acre Seneca Meadows facility are part of the carefuly managed solid waste disposal program operated under the strictest State and Federal environmental guidelines.
